Sound Design for Wedding Venues

Sound design is not choosing speakers. It is deciding how sound behaves in a specific building, on a specific site, for a specific way of running events — and doing so before equipment is bought or positions are fixed.

Each of these interacts with the others. A subwoofer position that flatters the dance floor may be the single largest contributor to what a neighbour hears at one in the morning.

Designed around the day, not around a product list

A wedding moves. Ceremony, apéritif, dinner, speeches, first dance, late party — each has a different level, a different geometry and a different acceptable spill. Designing zones and levels around that sequence usually delivers a better guest experience than a single oversized system asked to do everything.

We work with the venue's own suppliers and with visiting DJs and bands, so that the design survives contact with real event production rather than existing only on paper.

Directivity

A loudspeaker is not a lightbulb.

Choosing boxes with the right pattern, then aiming them at guests rather than at open ground, often reduces off-site level more effectively than turning the system down.
